Injustice?

Diamondback Article

In case you hadn't heard, that is what happened. For anyone who wants to point fingers I'm not really sure where they go. It's one hundred percent, without a doubt NOT the campus police, they were the most helpful and hardworking people in the whole ordeal, and the only people on campus who seemed to care at all about me. It might be the State's Attorney's office, but I think he did about the best he could with what he had and the way the system works. The place I really want to point my finger is at who or whatever got into his friend's heads that they should be subversive and not cooperate with the court and police. The worst part about it is that they all gave statements saying he did it, two showed up to court, and one lied. One didn't show up because he thought he was going to be arrested for a previous warrant out for his arrest and his mother, who incidentally doesn't own a telephone and lives in lousiana, was sick; the other because he joined the navy, although he, apparently, wouldn't have been very helpful. My advice, if your ever going to commit a crime, do it with a bunch of shady characters and you'll get off because some will lie, some won't show up, and they wont believe the ones who's testimony is consistent with their statement.

The Dance Party

My friend Kevin, from work, not the one I live with, is in a band called The Dance Party. Credit is due to some member of The Dance Party for the temporary title of this page (suggestions for a permanent title will be skeptically accepted), it's the title of the first track on their upcoming EP which I can tell you is a solid 11 minute rock out. Those of you on my buddy list may have seen the link in my away message, take that as your insider opportunity to be a hipster and get the EP before it comes out, it will make you instantly cooler than 90% of the DC music scene. Maybe a few of you will actually consider coming to their show with me next saturday at The Velvet Lounge.

First Post

So I created this thing so that I can post stuff I am interested in and I think other people might be interested in. This seems to be a much nicer system than livejournal, at the very least visually. For those of you that read my livejournal I dont plan on using it for all the personal bullshit I put up there.
