Injustice?
Diamondback ArticleIn case you hadn't heard, that is what happened. For anyone who wants to point fingers I'm not really sure where they go. It's one hundred percent, without a doubt NOT the campus police, they were the most helpful and hardworking people in the whole ordeal, and the only people on campus who seemed to care at all about me. It might be the State's Attorney's office, but I think he did about the best he could with what he had and the way the system works. The place I really want to point my finger is at who or whatever got into his friend's heads that they should be subversive and not cooperate with the court and police. The worst part about it is that they all gave statements saying he did it, two showed up to court, and one lied. One didn't show up because he thought he was going to be arrested for a previous warrant out for his arrest and his mother, who incidentally doesn't own a telephone and lives in lousiana, was sick; the other because he joined the navy, although he, apparently, wouldn't have been very helpful. My advice, if your ever going to commit a crime, do it with a bunch of shady characters and you'll get off because some will lie, some won't show up, and they wont believe the ones who's testimony is consistent with their statement.
